Gems Primary School

Children in Foundation stage and Key Stage 1 (3-6years) are introduced to Foundations in Reading, Writing, Science, Mathematics and ICT through practical applications supported by a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Learning through structured play and a regular programme of visits/tours forms an integral part of the Foundation stage and Key Stage 1 curriculum.

Children from 7-10 (Key Stage 2) undergo continuous assessments to check each child’s progress and ensure they meet predetermined standards. At the end of Key stage 2, students study for University of Cambridge Checkpoint Examinations in English, Maths and Science. Core academic curriculum includes English, Maths, Science, and Social Studies & ICT. Other subjects are French, Kiswahili, Art, Music, and Physical Education & Swimming with a selection of extra-curricular activities that broadens their opportunities and natural abilities.
